Can change of friends change who you are?

Nope! While it never hurts to make friends with new and different people, it doesn't change your values. As you get older, you will grow and learn based on your experiences with people and life in general--your ideas may change as you get older, but what you cherish (family, community, religion, education, etc.) will always remain the same. If your friends try to change YOU, they're probably not really interested in friendship as much as power.

A bit more:In some circumstances, it can change how you act. For example, if you have always done the right things (no drugs, drinking, stealing, etc.), and then start running with a crowd who does, you may be tempted to do those things too, in order to try to fit in with them.

Sometimes, when a person feels they aren't popular and wants to be with the 'in' crowd, they will often be willing to change their acceptable (good) behavior to unacceptable (bad) behavior just to be accepted by the new crowd. And if that person stays with this new group of friends long enough, it may change who the person is by changing their behavior.
