A child's sense of taste is not as well-developed as an adult's, so in some cases (aspirin, for instance, or some of the less-flavored meds like Tylenol) they will eat them just because kids eat things sometimes. All medications should be kept well out of the reach of children, regardless of kind or purpose. A few tabs of Tylenol (acetaminophen), for example, will leave a kid waiting for a liver transplant if she survives at all.
