Yes, but they might need extra help if they suffer from EXTREME stress from their life situations.
Yes, but it's easier to wait until adulthood, since there's less stress involved.
A person with Aspergers can become popular by just being themselves. If they're nice, people will come to them for who they are, not what they have.
Someone with aspergers syndrome can certainly become a chiropractor, provided they can meet the educational criteria (4 years of undergraduate university, 4 years of chiropractic college, pass board exams). That being said, chiropractic is a health care profession that involves alot of one-on-one interaction between a doctor and his/her patient, and communication skills are a big asset. As aspergers syndrome is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, a chiropractor with aspergers syndrome may have a difficult time interacting/communicating with his/her patients, and thus may not be very successful. Thus, although someone with aspergers COULD become a chiropractor, I would suggest that they strongly consider whether or not it is the right career choice for them.
The best way to become an expert on the syndrome would be to read and research as much as you can about the topic. It would also benefit you to try and find people with AS and get their point of view as well. Also, talking to pychologists and pyschiatrists are good ways to get info on aspergers.
Do you mean Bar Mitzvah? If so, this the coming of age of Jewish male children (Bat Mitzvah is the same thing for female Jewish children). It is at this age that the children become responsible for adhering to Jewish laws and tenets of their faith (nb. it is the children who are referred to as Bar/Bat Mitzvah - not the ceremony of them attending their first sabbath service).
I don't know, but I have asperger's and I struggle pretty hard to turn down a drink. I don't know if asperger's syndrome is the reason for it though.
You have to be 13 years old.
The phrase is a noun. The "bar mitzvah" is the person ... the male Jew who turns 13 years old. At that age, the responsibility for his religious observance, and his moral, ethical, and social conduct, become his, and are no longer the responsibility of his parents. This is the situation of that person when he turns 13, whether or not the occasion is celebrated or acknowledged in any way, and whether or not anybody is even aware of it. The person has become a bar mitzvah. An adult convert to Judaism is a bar mitzvah immediately. There is no ceremony that creates this status, just the fact the man is over the age of 13.
Most of the external features of Marfan syndrome become more pronounced as the patient gets older, so that diagnosis of the disorder is often easier in adults than in children.
Yes, Down's Syndrome does not affect the ability to have children. Men with Down's Syndrome can father children in very rare circumstances, women with Down's Syndrome have about 50% chance of miscarriage.
Yes! There are a number of reasons for having an adult Bar Mitzvah - you may not have celebrated it when you were a child, you may have converted in later years, or you may have experienced a spiritual awakening, and you want to mark your commitment to the Jewish people again - as a mature adult. You can have a bar/bat mitzvah at any age, although there is a custom to have a second bar mitzvah at age 73.
Yes. This is the same as saying: A person becomes an elder. A person does not become elder.
You have to take general education courses first and then when you have completed those you can start gearing towards taking classes for teaching special education. If you would JUST like to teach children with down syndrome and no other disability then you should go on to get your masters in that field so that you become more knowledgeable about the subject.
