Yes - there are two substances that can be lethal for dogs in cacao - the ingredient that makes chocolate, and therefore fudge. Theobromine and caffeine are the names of the ingredients, and if you look up in some very technical literature, you can learn exactly how much and what type of chocolate can (will) kill your dog. As a general rule, bakers chocolate and Dark Chocolate are worse than Milk Chocolate. Just don't let your dog have any fudge or chocolate and you should be ok. If your dog does ingest chocolate, call your veterinarian immediately. They will most likely tell you to induce vomiting and/or have you bring in the animal for observation and care. Let the experts deal with it. You would be surprised how frequently people ask whether chocolate in dogs will really kill them, or if it is an old wives tale - it really will. Suggested (commercially available) literature: Merck Veterinary Manual
In small doses, no. If your dog ends up getting into a tin of fudge and eating the whole thing he may get pukey and sick, and have the soupy poops, but it won't kill him.

I't wouldn't die just make sure no cheese or chocolate products are in the hot dogs. Cheese makes dogs gassy and chocolate products like fudge or chocolate milk would kill them. If you feed them house hold foods then they would ask for more and more around the time you gave it to them. Hope I helped
