No, Computers operate on an "Input-Output" function. You input a command, the computer processes it, and then displays the result on the screen. Although the computer can do a lot of things, it can't do anything if we don't tell it to.

Computers process data, which is not precisely the same as thinking although it has similarities. Researchers in the field of Artificial Intelligence are confident that if computers should ever have sufficiently good programs, they would become able to think. But that has not been achieved yet.

The difference between data processing and thinking is that when you are thinking, the data that you process has meaning; it has context, you can see how it relates to everything else that you think about or know. Data processing is a purely mechanical process which may produce results that are meaningful to the person using the computer but which mean nothing to the computer that does the data processing. Computers do not understand what they are doing, they just do it, somewhat in the way that a hammer driving in a nail has no understanding that it is driving in a nail, but does it anyway if the person swings that hammer in the right way.

No, most definitely not. The human brain has trillions of neurons that can transmit and receive linear analog signal levels.

Computers use millions to billions of digital switches. The two discrete states of each switch make the neuron computer, the brain, far superior to any digital computer.

Even if, and it will probably come to pass, computers were made of hundreds of trillions of transistor's, they are driven by software programs that guide the architecture to perform operations. This is mostly sequential.

They are working on neural networks for computers, which tries to simulate human thinking, but this is still insufficient in comparison to the operation of a human brain.

No telling where this trend will take us, but computers will always process data differently than the brain.

No computers cant think like people.

They can only make sophisticated decisions and compute difficult problems. They dont have brains like humans and therefore cant think like them.

No, a computer can not think. Everything a computer "knows" is programmed into the computer with high-tech softwere or other materials.

Not in the way humans do. They are only capable of doing what they are programmed to do. They can make decisions based on criteria set by programmers.

What is meant by coding in computers?

Computers aren't like humans. They can't just think, I need to do this, and then do it. They have to be taught how to do everything they do. That's what coding is. It's when someone puts a code into a computer to tell it what to do. This is also known as programming.

Why do we need computer languages?

So that we can write computer programs in a manner that humans can read. Computers "think" in one and zeros, and in a very logic based, linear fashion. Programming languages are a bridge between the way people think, and the ones and zeros that computers use. Programming languages also help programs think in a step by step fashion like computers do.
