I am not sure but i do no that a cat can attack a guinea pig and so can dogs so it is better not to buy a guinea pig if u have a cat or dog.
It depends on the cat. If the cat's very young and used to being on its own, then it could be a maybe, if the cat's very old, the cat could stay away. On the other hand, yes, it is in the cat's nature to kill the guinea pig. It does not matter what cat it is, they will think its a mouse and will want to play and will get rough and will kill it.
what is a guinea pigs enemiesthe cat family
Guinea pigs pur when they are upset and want you to stop touching them.
Well... this is a tough question because it really depends on the cat and guinea pigs personality. Personally I keep my cat as far away from my guinea pigs as possible because I don't trust my cat. If there is no way your cat could get into their cage or stick its paw in the side it would be okay.... But no I don't think that I would put your cat near them. I know of some people that have cats and guinea pigs which are best friends but No you shouldn't.
While most of our cats accept the guinea pigs we keep at home and generally ignore them, one of them can be a little aggressive. It depends on the cat, but as a general rule, I would HIGHLY recommend that you don't keep them together. A cat is much larger than a guinea pig and can easily kill it with a bite or a swat of their paw or a scratch. Guinea pigs are prey animals and cats are hunters. Bad combination. Keep them separated please!
A guinea pig's enemies are dogs, cats, people, and any animal that tries to eat them.Answer:Guinea pigs were originally raised as a food animal making man their chief predator.
A guinea pig is a rodent, it's meant to eat (mainly) plants and vegetables. A cat is a predator, it's meant to eat (mainly) stuff that has meat in it. Food for one won't have the nutrients needed by the other.
Depends on personality of all involved parties. Younger cat would be better so as to get them use to the dog and guinea pigs. Dog depending would be the one to watch.
No, guinea pigs cannot eat cat food as it does not provide the necessary nutrients required for their health. Guinea pigs have specific dietary needs that should be met with a balanced diet of hay, fresh vegetables, and guinea pig pellets. Feeding them cat food can lead to nutritional deficiencies and health issues.
If your dog is whining, then it wants the guinea pigs. Either to chase it or check it out. My dog whines if she's inside and saw a cat. The same effect on your dog with guinea pigs. Hope this helped!
Yep. We have 2 and they love the beds, especially our FATSO: Ginger E. Guinea
I don't know about guinea pigs but i know other rodents like mice and rabbits can die of shock (after being caught by my cat).
