One pill probably won't hurt your dog that much. You may want to make sure that the dogs gets some DOG FOOD in it's stomach! Also, some grass wouldn't hurt your dog. It needs something healthy!!!!!!!
I suggest making sure that all of your pill bottles are high up in shelves where they can't reach it!

Because their noses are so strong, they can smell the difference in chemicals in the pills, causing them to think before they chew. because pills have so many different ingredients, they have an odd stink to them that only dogs can smell.

Dogs that do this are usually missing something from their diet. Like certain minerals. If the pills are suppliments I would think they would work. Find out what the pills are made out of before you feed them to you dog.

If dogs get get very nervous from fireworks one option is to have them sedated by vets, or by giving the calming pills.
Gravel pills?? Do you mean travel pills? As there are different types with different drugs, best to check with your vet. Somethings designed for humans can be very harmful - even fatal for dogs and other animals (think chocolate for example, which is a big no no for dogs - and aspirin is poisonous to cats). There are treatments specifically designed for dogs, so don't risk it - ask the experts!
