Crunches alone will not help you to lose weight. They will strengthen your abs, but they will not do anything for the flab on top of them, and they can often cause pudge to stick out and look worse. If you do other kinds of ab exercises you can effectively flatten your belly, but the only way to lose weight is to cut back your daily caloric intake and both strength train and do cardio, only using ab exercises to define/flatten your abs.
No, you will tone that specific area but you can not 'spot' lose weight by simly doing cruches. By doing crunches you may lose weight from any part of your body.
Losing weight can be hard. If a person eats less, and exercises by doing crunches and running, they will lose some weight. The amount is dependent on how many calories they put in their body, and how many calories they burn.
How much weight you can lose in a month by drinking water and doing crunches every night also depends upon other factors. These include you start weight, gender, age, diet, metabolism and how many crunches you do each night.
You can deit and exersise by doing crunches or you can by the new high teck type of crunches or move your hips a round
So I have always heard to get a flat stomach to do crunches. Is this the case even when you are big, like while trying to lose weight and cardio should i also do crunches and ab workouts? I know I won't see results now, but will it help me more later to go ahead and start doing them?
By doing exercise and crunches
doing crunches makes muscle on top of fat and after that its almost impossible to lose that fat!
its simple . . by doing crunches . you can easily loose weight over that area . . but first I prefer you to start a practice of jogging daily. . . and then after a week start doing crunches. . at initial level . 2 sets of 15 will do . . then after a month you should increase . . as per your requirement
I would use weight watchers. It's completely safe.
Do lots of sit-ups and crunches Okay no. All that will do is build up your layer of muscle. Your stomach goes... Muscle, fat, and then skin so by doing crunches and sit ups all it does is make your abs bigger. Not burn fat. By doing this u will ultimatly end up looking bigger than before.
Not much burning of body fat or weight loss will occur by just doing 150 crunches per day. Reducing your calorie intake, moderately lifting weights in order to increase your metabolism, and participating in some regular cardiovascular exercise, will be more beneficial to weight loss than those 150 daily crunches. You will only see abdominal toning once some of the fatty abdominal layer has been burned- no matter how many crunches you do.
Simple cardio and excersices can result in you loosing your goal weight. Doing crunches on your couch and doing leg raises can result in weight loss but it will give you the biggest ab burn ever!
