Being emo can be a temporary phase or part of someone's personality. When someone tells another person to "stop being so emo," they are usually implying that the person is being overly emotional, negative, dramatic, or self-absorbed. It is often used in a derogatory manner to suggest that the person needs to change their behavior.
It varies from person to person, but usually when someone goes through a phase where they think that the world is against them, that no one will ever love them, ect. This usually happens sometime after puberty or a traumatic event.BUT if you're trying to be emo without going through that phase, you are what we like to call a Poser-Emo-Kid AKA a Scene Kid.[btw, Emo is so 2006.]
you know what parents are like, they will hear from a friend that emo means 'cutting yourself' (which it doen't in most cases) and they will go mental, so don't say you are emo, they will just think its a stupid phase but u dont have to listen to them
why would you want to be emo? emo isnt a style or look emo means your an emotional person with problems, if your trying to be like that then yes you are being a poser. i think what you mean is "scene"
Leave them be, chances are its a phase, and if you try to stop or prevent it, youll probally worsen it, trust me from experience here. Support them all the way, sometimes your child may just be trying to get attention like most people are who become emo.
Emo in Japanese is エモ
no it is not emo no it is not emo
She is going through a phase of her life. 90% of American female go emo at the age of 10. She is starting to recognize the hells on earth. Don't worry, if you are really happy around her, she'll shrug it off.

You can be any age to be emo but u have to be a true emo to be emo at any age

Depends on what you think of 'emo', if you see emo as a clothing style; no. If you see emo as a music style;no. If you see emo as a feeling; maybe.
