It is for all intents and purposes impossible to stop a file from being copied. Once you have given another person access to a file, they can copy it as much as they like. You can only protect the contents of a Word document from being read. If it can be read, it can be copied.
template files can be easily moved, copied or edited, which you would need to do all 3 with almost any document. (template files open with much more easily managed programs)
Maybe, maybe not, it depends on how it was corrupted. Also reformatting some SD cards, USB flash drives, etc. while they will work their speed will be much lower than it was with the original factory formating. In these cases the manufacturer warns never to reformat, only delete all the files and folders to empty the device instead.
