That would probably depend on the type of blood pressure medication you are taking. Some blood pressure medications are diuretics, meaning they promote the excretion of fluids in urine to lower blood pressure. Not taking your diuretic may result in swelling. Talk to your prescribing physician about your concerns and about how to be more compliant with the prescribed medication.
