Gerbils should never be put together with Hampsters. They are from different environments and eat different foods. Dispite the fact that most foods are for 'both hampsters and gerbils' that is wrong. They have different nutritional requirements. Hampsters are VERY territorial and will end up with one of them dead or severely injured. Do not put a gerbil and a hampster in the same cage! No matter how docile the hampster and gerbil look. yup! they can get to be pretty good buddies too.
The gerbil will love it and try to be friends, but the hamster will defend territory. The gerbil will most likely fight back and with the gerbil's long claws and teeth that never stop growing, I think the hamster will die. You guys all are stupid, Yes, Gerbils and Hamsters can live together if they're docile and nice to each other...
I have a gerbil and a Russian dwarf hamster and they have NEVER once fought, and yes u can put them together...
No! No, no, no! Anyone who has been able to do this has had extremely good luck -- and that's all it is. If it is a Syrian hamster, the gerbil will die. If a dwarf, the hamster will die.
Syrian Hamsters will kill and eat a gerbil, do not put them together in the same cage.
No, never do this. Hamsters are solitary, and it may attack the gerbil.
No, hamsters are solitary, and also omnivorous. A gerbil would run a great risk of being killed and eaten by the hamster.
No. The gerbil will eat the mouse
Well, hamsters really should not be put in a cage with other hamsters as they fight with each other
Gerbils can (and should) live with a gerbil friend or two of the same sex--that's it. No other animal is safe to live with a gerbil in the same cage or tank.
No teddy hamsters and dwarf hamsters cant stay together
bro what i guess
if they were raised together like brothers or sisters
because guinea pigs are aggressive
Placing a female or male gerbil if they are not familiar (Family. prior cage mates) could be fatal in other words gerbils are territorial unless they are familiar. But a familiar male and female can be placed in the same cage but no matter if they are family or not and odds are they are they will mate and have pup's.
my hamsters would eat each other so i don't recommend it
