Yes i have two goldfish and they stay in tap water. But we have a special droplet thing that makes the water cleaner. I am a person that changed this.....You do not need a tablet...My goldfish have lived for almost 2 years on tap water that we clean ourselves...It was great...we just got a new tank today, and we are hoping that they both get ajusted to the body temperature.
There is nothing wrong with tap water. Just let it stand for a few hours or overnight and any chlorine should have evaporated off. If your water authority add chloramine instead of chlorine you will need to get some water conditioner from a pet shop.
Goldfish are fairly hardy and can survive most municipal tap water, no matter how bad. If the tap water is chlorinated it should be allowed to stand open for a day to let the chlorine gas off before the fish are put in it.
Tap water that is safe for you to drink is safe for your fish, but, you also need to add water conditioner during each weekly water change using the recommended dosage on the bottle remove the Chloramines.
It is best that before you introduce fish to a new tank, for a tank of only a few litres run a filter for about four days.
goldfish will survive in tap water but it is best to put a bit of chlorine control in the water plus you will need a filter if you want the water and tank to stay cleaner for longer :)
You can use clean tap water for your goldfish, but not dirty or used water.
yes!
Yes Goldfish Can Die In Oily Water HeHe I Like Gold Fish :)
Yes, actually it must be in water. If the goldfish is not in water, it will die due to suffocation.
yes you can use any type of water for gold fish but to be on the safe side i would go out to a store and buy a water clearifyerwell ive had my goldfish for 6 years now andi have the basics;4l fishtank,2 goldfish,100g fishfood flakes, thermometer, and decorations.and i also use tap water and nothink else.but i always clean the tank out everysunday night at 5:00pm at night.hope this has helped you like it helped me.
Please don't. goldfish are freshwater fish, not saltwater.
You need to buy a chlorine-free bottle, to get rid of the chlorine from the water. Since no fish can live inside chlorine. And chlorine is mixed with tap water.
no cause if do they die so u leave the tap water out for about a week cause tap water has a chemical in it that will harm the tadpoles
Dechlorinated tap water (aka freshwater). Make sure the tank is well filtered and fully cycled, and a suitable huge size for Goldfish, before the fish is bought and introduced!
No, if you put a goldfish in hot water it will die.
goldfish don't really need treated water because goldfish are like feeder fish there is a 20% chance there going to live past a month but if you want to try it just go to petsmart and get betta water conditioner or leave regular tap water out for a couple days (2-3)
