I thought it would, and honestly no it does not, my wife uses hair spray daily. Constantly in the morning for her hair to be "perfect" and if she is going somewhere fancy. But I've noticed that her keeps on growing and growing and growing until she finally cut it when she was literally sitting on it! Still uses it all the time.. Smells up the garage.. And her hairs growing... I guarentee many other man experience this haha, so the answer is hair spray cannot effect hair growth
