It is widely debated but hamsters can drink a small bit of fresh (never sour) milk sparingly as a treat. It can be beneficial to nursing mothers, ill hamsters and young.
However...
I do not know if the milk referred to in this research is cows or goats milk.
From my own experience working in a wildlife refuge, cows milk is undigestable to many mammals and can cause considerable stomach upsets which I believe could lead to your hamster becoming ill.
Instead we use goats milk and have never experienced any problems with it, so I would recommend that.
I would also recommend that you give only half a teaspoon only once a week or less and feed outside the cage, as milk can be spilled within the cage and will therefore rot and cause illness.
yes they can ! but don't give them too much
but it may not be the best for them. Cow's milk is for calfs, not hamsters, cats, or even people (even though we do drink it).
No, they can only drink their mother's milk.
== == Idont know if regular sized hamsters can drink milk because i never see any hamsters drink milk?
A cow that produces milk for the human population to drink.
NO!!! They are lactose intolerant do not give them milk!!!
No, not at all. A cow really couldn't care less if you drink her milk or not.
They can drink, but seldom. So, they not selling cow milk in cafe.
No. Cows don't need to drink milk: they drink water, not milk.
No.
If you sell the cow you will no longer get any milk as you do not own the cow anymore.
A cow is a cow. Milk is milk. Quantity and butterfat content will vary with each breed. Black angus is a breed. Drink Up!
They don't. Pigs don't drink cow's milk.
