How and when can you straighten your permed hair?
You can straighten it everyday if you want to, it will only come out faster. so, try to straighten it only once or twice a week to keep your permed hair. What's the point of getting a perm, if you are going to straighten it?

yes you can straighten permed hair; however, I suggest that you use a heat protecting spray because your hair is already damaged from the perm. Also I would recommend for you to use a leave in conditioner and once every two-weeks or so maybe every month deep condition your hair! You don't want to damage you hair too much.

Well you don't want to get a perm then when it starts to come out perm it again. That causes major damage to your hair. Once you get a perm you can't take it out. It grows out but if you get it done to much you can also lose hair or it will be very crunchy. So if you get a perm wait a month or more until your hair is back to normal. Also use a deep conditioner.

curl perms? i have never heard of that. but what i know is that if u get growth and then cut all the straight permed hair ur natural unpermed hair wont be damaged. and once ur hair is long enough ur could tong ur hair to make it straight. once in a while tonging ur hair is good but not everyday. All kinds of perms cause damage because the hair is treated with chemicals which can make hair more porous and thus can be easily breakable. So yes curling perms will cause damage.

A perm should stay in naturally, if it falls out within a week, go back to the salon and ask for it redone (this should be free) If you shop around, you can purchase certain shampoo's and conditioners that are for 'product hair styles' and 'chemically treated hair' The salon is responsible for informing the customer ways and means of taking care of a perm but the shampoo's work fine. P.S. Make sure you DO condition your hair (leave in for roughly 10 minutes before rinsing) so that the hair doesn't dry out quickly.

I recently did, and it worked to my satisfaction, although I wasn't in persuit of perfectly straight hair. I used the perm soloution and combed it through my hair for the 10 minute processing time, and the result was slightly wavy towards the ends, but no more curls. I was careful to comb my hair in different directions (all to the left, all to the right, back, forward) as it processed so as not to have my hair permed flat to my head. Many years ago they had (and I'm not sure if they still do) hair straightening solution. I used it once, and it made my hair very straight. If you want very straight hair, I would suggest it. I believe it was called 'Curl Free'.
