Think of a hosepipe that has lots of holes in it. These are your "leaky" capillaries.
You put the pipe on low (low pressure) on your lawn, the water trickles out of the holes and gets sucked up into the grass.
Turn it up onto max (high pressure), the water floods the grass and turns it waterlogged, so much so that the water doesn't get absorbed into the soil so it just sits on top of the grass.
That is the link between hypertension and oedema!
High blood pressure can cause edema. Edema is swelling caused by fluid retention. Excess fluid is trapped in the body's tissues.
I am sure there are many conditions that cause edema, however there are two I know of. One is the later stages of pregnancy, the other is untreated high blood pressure. Beth
later stages of pregnancy doesn't always cause edema, edema could mean a serious illness call ed pre eclampsia which is high blood pressure caused by pregnancy and it can cause swelling and water retention.
mold can cause high blood pressure
can high blood pressure cause visual hallucinations
It doesn't cause high blood pressure. However, it can increase your blood pressure.
Yes hyperthyroidism can cause high blood pressure.
does high blood pressure cause light deaded
Yes, increased hydrostatic pressure can lead to peripheral edema. It is caused by poor fluid reabsorption. There are several causes of peripheral edema including heart failure, pulmonary edema, nephritic syndromes, and lymphedema.
preeclampsia
no because it may cause high blood pressure.
High blood hydrostatic pressure in blood vessels is produced when there is an increase in blood flow and these vessels become hard. This can lead to hypertensive conditions and even edema.
Because the leading cause to lvh is pathological hypertrophy and theleading cause to that is high blood pressure. when you have high blood pressure your heart beats harder to counteract the pressure, and seeing how many Americans today are either obese or overwieght high blood pressure is in no way rare.
