yes. it drys and hardens the rubber seals that are suppose to hold hydraulic fluid pressure engaging the clutch packs.
If your transmission is slipping when it is hot that could be a sign that you do not have adequate pressure in the transmission line. It could be because of wear, it's in need of service, or that it's low on fluid.
When a auto trans is cold the clutch bands hold better but after they get hot they slip. Find a transmission shop asap.
You haven't defined exactly how hot you mean by hot temperatures, but I can tell you that as temperatures increase, eventually all organic chemicals will break down.
They live in hot temperatures.
You check the transmission fluid when its hot
No, but hot temperatures do.
hot and humid
HOT HOT
Assuming you have the auto transmission and not manual, there's a transmission dipstick near the firewall. Pull that stick and follow the instructions that are inscribed on it. Most manufacturers want the transmission totally up to temperature (hot) and the engine running while checking the fluid level. Cheers
very hot
All temperatures are in Centigrade.
The temperatures at the equator tend to be warm to hot (except where there are mountains); the temperatures at the poles tend to be below freezing.
