Crested geckos are a nocturnal species of gecko, forging and hunting during the night. They have extremely well adapted eyesight in the dark. Crested geckos have three super cones in their eyes that allow them to see in full spectrum. The light in darkness reflecting of each of these cones allow them to have "super sight" in the dark. Unlike other nocturnal animals (mammals, birds, bats etc..) whom only have one cone, can only see in black and white. The only other species documented to have full spectrum vision is the hawk moth.
