Unfortunately a 30 gigg ipod could only last over 4 hours!
Delete it and install it back again.
Reboot the iPod and start over. There's not much else to do at that point. Be sure you aren't loading in more data that the iPod can hold.

You press the menu button and the middle button (play/pause button) together till There is an apple icon shows up then you start all over where you left off.( P.S the iPod will not start all over again, so practially it will not get rid of all your songs, they will all be still on your ipod when you turn it back on)hope this helpedHold down menu and pause until it switches off, it should turn back on unfrozen.
