I believe you can.
According to the iTunes store T&C's, section 9)b)iv):
"You shall be able to store Products from up to five different Accounts on certain devices, such as an iPod or iPhone, at a time. Additional restrictions apply to Film Rentals, as described below."
I can only assume that you just need to login to the store with a different account and transfer purchased items to the connected device.
In addition, any purchases can be authorised on upto 5 devices.

∙ 13y agoWhen you click on the device on the iTunes screen, it should display all of the playlists that you have. You can then select which one you wish to download.
