I wouldn't recommend it. The tolerances for the main bearing for the engine tend to be pretty tight, and using oil of a weight that much higher than what the OEM recommends could lead to that main bearing not getting properly lubricated.
Why you want to do that??? if you like to do for your funny works, you can do it.
in the 710 cap
Olive Oil.
IN THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR.
The type of oil one can use in a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass is either 10 W 30 or 20w-50. This oil can be purchased at any auto parts store.
the weight of oil that is in the motor...10w-30 is more than enough, if the oil was changed and say 20w-50 oil was put in then your oil pressure is going to be higher...the oil is thicker or heavier
What type oil do you put in your 2001 Peugeot 607 2.0 petrol?
I always use Motul 20w/40. It is not synthetic, and change it every 7500 km.
yes, synthetic can go in anything I run REPSOL 20w-50 in my 2005 Vstar 1100
the only place you put gear oil is in the rear end. Look on the differential and on the back there is a large nut, remove it to put in the CORRECT gear oil.
1996Toyota Camry20w50 is the best choice for that old of a car. I have driven many older cars and this weight lubricates the engine great! I even have my mechanic put it in my van when oil change time comes.Correct Oil to Use.The Car calls for 10W-30, 20W-50 would be used only if you had extremely high mileage on the car. An you were trying to put off rebuilding the engine for a time. Also the 20W-50 would lower your MPG's.
In the gearbox i think!
