Yes. I take both. I take hydrocodone as needed for degenerative disc order and spinal stenosis, also taking phentermine to lose weight so I wont be in as much pain, as the more weight you have on you, the more pain you feel. My dr assured me they are fine together and should not cause any bad reactions.

Well bp meds help lower your blood pressures. While Phentermine is a drug that raises your bp. So they'll counteract each other. I have been on lisinopril for a month, and then my OBGYN Dr. asked me if I would like to try phentermine at 30 mg a day at first. Well I said yes, cause I'm desperate to lose the weight; I took a phentermine for the first time yesterday---I had an allergic reaction (tongue, lips and eyes swelled up and were tingly). I know everyone is different though. But I took my bp throughout the day while both were in my system--and it was only a couple points higher than normal (no more than 5 pts-but I do use a wrist cuff).

My normal PCP (who gave me the bp meds) will not even consider giving me an appetite suppressant, so I have not mentioned that I took phentermine from another doctor (since I'm apparently allergic to it no sense in getting her ticked off about it).

Just age old question: take bp meds to keep from having a stroke/heart attack, or take phentermine to lose weight so you won't need bp meds. It's a catch 22.
