Never, Double solid yellow means that you cannot cross
If you are turning left in order to turn into a driveway or auto park.
Yes, you just cant pass in a double solid yellow line.
You may make a legal left turn across a double yellow line. You may not PASS another vehicle by crossing over the double yellow line.
I believe it is.Added: You may make a legal left turn across a double yellow line. You may not PASS another vehicle by crossing over the double yellow line.
Yes, you can provided the yellow lines are :Solid yellow lines mark the center of a road used for two-way traffic.Broken yellow lines mean you may pass if the broken line is next to your driving lane. Two solid yellow lines mean no passing. Never drive to the left of these lines unless you are:Turning left at an intersection.Turning into or out of a private road or driveway. In a carpool lane that has a designated entrance on the left.Instructed by construction or other signs to drive on the other side of the road because your side is closed or blocked.(1) Solid yellow line: No passing if solid yellow line is on your side.(2) Double solid lines: DO NOT pass.(3) Broken yellow line: May pass if movement can be made safely. Two sets of solid double yellow lines spaced two or more feet apart are considered a barrier. Do not drive on or over this barrier or make a left turn or a U-turn across it except at designated openings. (See diagram .)
In the US, yes this is legal. A single or double white line signifies only that you should not change lanes.
It's wrong everywhere. Once you're in a turn lane, you're supposed to be cmitted to that turn, which is why the line between you and the lane of travel is solid.
You're supposed to have exited the lane well before the white line turns solid. You're not supposed to cross over a solid line - either white or yellow - for any reason, emergencies notwithstanding.
When there are 2 sets of double solid yellow lines you may not cross it for any reason. They are treated as though it is a solid wall. If there is only one set of double yellow lines you can turn across it to enter a driveway or parking lot.If the inner line is a dashed line(and it would be wider than 2 feet) that area is used to begin or complete left turns
I live in California so my answer will be specifically applicable to my state and may apply to others as well. A dotted line in the middle of a two lane road indicates that you may pass another car on the left that may be driving slower than you would like to travel. A solid yellow line with a dotted line on the side of your direction indicates that you may pass when it is safe in your direction of travel only. If the solid line is on your side of the highway, then you may not pass, but the other direction can. A double yellow line in the center of the highway means that NO ONE may pass in either direction. You may still turn left across a double yellow line into a private or commercial driveway, but may not make a U-Turn. If there are two sets of double yellow lines, narrowly spaced apart, then you may not pass or turn left and must wait until there is a designated turning lane. If there is a wide space in between the two sets of double yellow lines wide enough to accommodate your vehicle, that designates a turning lane
