I take it you are referring to a screw in compact fluorescent lamp, am I right? If it screws in the socket and does not touch the metal with the glass part then it was made for the lamp. To see various size CFL lamps for lamps for any light socket visit Bright Commercial Lighting Facebook page. Order the size that will fit your lamp to see better and save energy to.

What is the difference between a F20-T12 CW fluorescent bulb and a F20-T9 CW bulb?

The main difference is the diameter of the fluorescent bulb. The letter T designates the diameter in 1/8" increments. A T9 is 9/8" or 1 and 1/8". A T12 is 12/8" or 1 and 1/2". The CW stands for "cool white" which is in reference to the colour of the light output on a light spectrum chart.

Does fluorescent bulb act as grow light?

Plants grow well in the red end of the light spectrum. Fluorescent tubes come in many light outputs. Cool white which is in the blue end of the spectrum down to the warm white which is on the red end. Manufactures make a growlux tube which is used specifically for plant growth. Store meat counters are starting to use these tubes for display lighting as they enhance the red colouring of the meat on display.

What are the different gases introduced into fluorescent lamps that give them their specific colors?

I think that you may be confusing fluorescent tubes with neon tubes. Fluorescent tubes use a phosphor coating on the inside of the lamp which is in a limited spectrum. Some tubes are cool white, warm white, and daylight. There is also a gro lux which is on the warm end of the spectrum used for growing indoor plants.

Can light blub act as sun and make flower?

If you use fluorescent lighting you will receive flowers on your plants. A regular light bulb will not do the trick. Buy a cheap shop light fixture and put in two long tubes one cool and one warm. Yes- artificial light can be used to grow plants, including flowers. A light bulb may not make enough light. Search for grow light or plant light.

What is the main difference between an incandescent light bulb and compact fluorscent light bulb?

An incandescent bulb differs from a fluorescent based on how it produces light. "Incandescent" means producing light through heat, this is essentially how an incandescent bulb lights. As current travels to the tungsten filament, the filament heats and lights up as the tungsten filament begins to deteriorate and eventually fail. Fluorescent bulbs produce light when current excites gasses inside the glass envelope. As the gasses get excited they emit photons. Interestingly, the light produced by a fluorescent bulb does not fall along the visible spectrum until it passes through the white, phosphor coating on the inside of the bulb. And there you have it.

Can I put a UV bulb to power a lava lamp?

The dark black incandescent type UV bulbs will work as they actually get hotter than the equivalent standard incandescent bulb of the same wattage, but the compact fluorescent type UV bulbs run too cool.

How many Mormons dose it taketo screw in a light ball?

There are several answers I've heard to this question, here are a few examples: "It depends! If it is the Relief Society it takes four. One to fix refreshments. One to bring the tablecloth. One to design the center piece, And one to screw in the light bulb. If it is the Bishopric, forget it, they don't do light bulbs. They call a Priesthood Executive Council and delegate it to the Elders. If it is the Elders it takes four. Three that don't show up, and one to change the bulb. If it is the High Priests it takes four. Two to push the wheel chairs. One to handle the oxygen tank, And one to screw in the light bulb. If it is the Home Teachers, it only takes two, But you have to wait until the end of the month. If it is the Aaronic Priesthood, it only takes one. He holds the light bulb in the socket And the whole world revolves around him." "Four. One Financial Clerk to see if we have enough money in the budget to afford a light bulb, one Historical Clerk to see when the last time the light bulb was changed, one Membership Clerk to check the roster to see if there is a qualified electrician in the ward, and one Ward Clerk to go change the bulb while everyone else is fooling around with the paperwork." "Four. One to say an opening prayer, one to give a talk on changing light bulbs, one to change the light bulb, and one to say a closing prayer." The final one is actually an answer to the question "How many Christian Scholars does it take to screw in a light bulb?" "First, they must hold a council to decide whether the light bulb should be soft white or cool white. Then, they must hold another council to determine whether they should accept fluorescent or incandescent lighting. Following their acceptance of incandescent over fluorescent lighting and soft white over cool white, several other councils of hundreds of clergymen over a period of hundreds of years must decide whether there is to be but one filament contained in one light bulb, or whether there are to be three filaments in the one bulb. Additional centuries must pass before several groups of clergymen protest the use of soft white incandescent bulbs and begin bickering over whether to convert to fluorescent lighting or return to cool white incandescent bulbs. Finally, Mormons come along and install a new light bulb patterned after the original bulb and turn on the light."
