It depends on your internet package.
If you have an unlimited package, the answer is no. However if the ISP notice you are using more bandwidth than average for the number of people in your household, they can legally cut the speed by a few MBPS to make it fairer on your neighbours.
Unlimited packages are usually those delivered by fibre optic technology.
If you have a capped package, the answer is yes.
Yes, internet speed will slow down if you download a lot at one time. This is because there is too much of a signal being pulled at once.
There is no way to find out this until you try it. It depends on much more than your ISP on what speed you get when downloading. E.g your location, the servers location (where you are downloading from), the servers upload speed, how many people are also downloading from that server, how many people are using the internet in your street (if you are using internet from the phone lines and not sattelite etc).
Dial up speed cannot be over 5 MBPS. It is extremely slow. The download speed is typically much slower than the internet speed however it does pose for a max. Dial up is not the best for speed especially with downloading. The top speed you can receive will depend on many factors including your computer.
Because you isp have slow download speed and fast upload speed.

Download speed depends on a few things, primarily how you are connected to the internet. A connection through an Ethernet cable is typically faster than a wireless connection. It can also have to do with how fast your hard drive can write data, but there probably isn't much you can do about that. Also, having many programs running while you are downloading or things in the background like antivirus scans tend to slow it down as well. With Steam specifically, sometimes the servers get "overloaded" to some extent, meaning if say, many people are on steam, getting on to steam, or downloading the game you are downloading at the same time you are, then that will slow down the download speed.
I am doing this captcha entry, and it requires minimum of 512kbps speed of Internet..........
It depends on your activity level such as downloading, surfing, etc.
Throttling bandwidth is the act of slowing down internet speeds, so that navigating the web and downloading take longer. This is done to make sure users do not use too much bandwidth.
This all depends on your maximum download speed agreed with your ISP. Also if you mean 1Gb or 1GB, there is a big difference. A lower case b is 1 bit and an upper case B is 1 Byte. there are 8 bits in a byte. Simply divide your maximum download speed in seconds by the amount of data you are downloading.
Kill all outside sources eating your internet. You know, like that illegal downloading program you have running on your computer. What I normally do is just disconnect my computer from the internet entirely. And if all else fails, upgrade your internet connection. XBOX LIVE isn't really meant for DSL, much less dial-up.
a 15mb app takes up about 4 to 5 gigs of internet to download
Well, your download speed depends on your internet connection, and your internet connection (speed) usually depends on what "plan" you have and/or how much you pay. If you feel that your speed is too slow, it's time to get a new, more expensive, faster "plan" from your Internet Service Provider. What the hell, 20-30 hours?!?! What are you using, dial up? Well They updated the download thing it only takes 20-30 minutes now
