ISPs can track every IP address and/or DNS address that a user accesses. The browser history is only a local copy of this data, while this data may also be retained on a server log that the user is unable to delete or may not even be aware of. Most ISPs do not divulge their logging or data retention capabilities, so one should never visit websites they would not like to be found as having visited, especially by the government.

The history of Google Chrome can be deleted within itself. The setting contain the history bar and Clear Browsing Data option.

Theres a good way i sometimes use, i press CTRL+H and it displays the History of your PC, then i right click on TODAY for example and delete, the TODAY history will be deleted. The other way is people go to Tools>Internet Options>General>Browsing History>Delete.

For the faster internet experience, history must be deleted. You can delete it about in a week if you are a regular user of internet.
Once it is deleted you cant access it.
As I know, to delete web browsing history in Firefox: click Tools, there is an option that lets you to delete history files, that's it.Becareful to delete cookies!Note: browsing history can contain the search history, internet browsing history, cache, cookies, cache, auto complete form history, etc. If you have deleted the auto complete form history, and you have not remembered the password, then you can't enter that web site next time unless you have a new account.
