It really depends on the stable and how well you know the owners and managers.I haven't heard of many stables that offer boarding in exchange for work, but I know a few barns that you can work for riding lessons. I'm sure you can find somewhere that will let you work for board.
Well it matters where you live, basically. I live in WI and I work at Wild Wind Equine center. But Really, anywhere they give horseback riding lessons, kids can work there.
