No. koi are a peaceful fish but if you have a giant koi that is about 9-20 inches in length then put in a baby goldfish the big koi might mistake the goldfish for flake food or a pellet but its not very common for goldfish or koi to eat other fish!!!!

Yes they would do very well. The problem that occurs in some areas though is that during the wet season flooding they are likely to escape into the waterways and become naturalised ferals and destroy/damage the native habitat and species. That is why Koi are a banned species in Queensland Australia.

It would depend on several factors. First, the outside temperature of the pond. Tropical fish like their water to be in temperatures around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. However, if the fish is large enough or hardy enough, like koi, then it could survive. For certain parts of the year, it may be fine, and for other parts of the year it may not be fine.
