no! no one other than a medical professional can draw blood, even if that officer has medical background training he cannot draw blood on you like that. did he sterilize your arm, where did he get the needle from, was it clean? call a lawyer, your civil rights have been violated. there are field sobriety test that can be given on the spot if they suspect usage of drugs or alcohol. if you were to refuse a breathalizer test then they can take you to a hospital for a blood test if they feel you have failed the field sobriety test, failure then to submit to one is automatic termination of your drivers license.
