Lemons contain citric acid, so adding lemon to something probably makes its pH go down. A pH above 7.0 indicates a base is acting in a substance. And moving down the pH scale means something is becoming less basic and/or more acidic. It can make the pH higher if the pH is already extremely low, simply from dilution. Adding lemon juice to concentrated sulfuric acid would make the pH go up very slightly.
This is the citric acid.
Lemon and juice are acids, so they would be on the higher end of the pH scale.
the higher the pH, the more alkaline the substance is. :)
7 The pH of a neutral substance is 7. Anything higher than 7 is alkaline or basic, and anything lower than 7 is acidic.
Yes. Yes it does.
A lemon has a lower pH due to its higher acidic quality
Generally speaking, the pH balance of a lemon is 2 - 2.3. It's a very acidic substance.
This is the citric acid.
Salsa is less acid than lemon, so pH is higher.
Lemon and juice are acids, so they would be on the higher end of the pH scale.
It tells that the substance is basic, as pH is higher than 7.0
i think that the orange juice that has the highest pH is tropicana.
Because on the PH scale 1.8~2.3 is acidic ..
the higher the pH, the more alkaline the substance is. :)

No. A higher pH simply means a substance is more alkaline and less acidic.
The pH of a lemon is about 2.4.
