Yes, oiling every day is good for the hair - either use a very small amount post-washing, or oil heavily before washing. Although if you oil your hair with olive oil you do have to use shampoo to wash your hair, it's too thick to wash out with other hair cleaning methods (baking soda/apple cider vinegar, conditioner-only, water-only, etc.).
