Can military in uniform carry a concealed weapon?

If we're talking about getting licensed to carry a loaded handgun concealed on the person, military are required to follow the laws of the state they reside in or are present in, just like any other citizen. If a state requires a certain regimen of training to qualify for said license, service in the military may be accepted in lieu of taking an approved class; in that sense it might be easier for military persons to qualify for the license. But military are not automatically licensed to carry a loaded concealed handgun, outside of their official duties, merely by virtue of being in the military.

Not unless their assigned duty requires it, and then, generally speaking, that only applies to while on duty. In general, simply being in the military does not allow you to carry a concealed weapon. You must follow the laws of whichever state you are in, and most states require a permit for concealed weapons.

While in public, the service member is expected to follow the laws of that state. If the state requires a CCW, then the service member may not carry in public without one.

If the state does not require one, obviously, the service member may carry.
