You definitely shouldn't inject MSIR...it has many fillers and binders that are not meant for injection. I would stick with swallowing the pill. Its immediate release, so it really should take no more than 30-40 mins for the effect. I would ask your prescriber for a long lasting narcotic pain reliever (extended-release) then take the IR for the breakthrough pain....If you are doing this to just get high and misusing the drug, go ahead and mainline it...who really cares
god no. dont inject pills. stupid head
NO.... the SR and IR are two totally different meds.
Yes, approximately 3-4 times stronger
Yes. The only difference in these drugs is how they are prepared so that they release either immediately or over a sustained period of time. They are both morphine sulfate.
M-Eslon is long acting morphine, which would probably be the primary pain killer for severe pain, while msir stands for morphine sulphate immediate release, which generally is used for breakthrough pain
30 mg of Morphine IR is equal to approximately 8 mg of Diluadid, so there is about a 4mg morphine to 1 mg of dilaudid ratio. So 45 mg of morphine would be equal to 5.6 mg of dilaudid. To answer your question, 45 mg of Morphine IR would stronger than taking the 4 mg of dilaudid.
instant release
Oxycontin is a synthetic manufactured MS. I have taken both for a condition I have. I will say I stay in reality much more with the MS. The oxy changed my personality, I am told not to the best. I think the pain relief is about the same. Tolerance is always a problem. The best thing is to STOP, I truly believe now that I have my pain is no worse. Now if you are taking them for other reasons than pain, then well....
Absolutely not; they are the exact same thing; one is just designed to last longer than the other before your body breaks it down. Morphine IR and Morphine ER are both morphine; one is instant-release (IR) and the other is extended release (ER). So a UA will definitely detect both, no matter whether it is a slow-release (ER) or a fast-release (IR). Depending on the type of test it will come up positive for 'opiates', or 'morphine' if it is a test that names the actual base substance. Some answers to this question have been moved to the discussion board.
No. The IR you are referring to is "instant release" if they were extended release, they would have a coating of some sort with them.
If it's an IR, snort it. Otherwise, eat it.
morphine requirement will increase with regular use and safe dose will depend on weight and general health a safe daily dose is nil.
up to 4 days
