The CryEngine3 engine allows not only for better physics representations, but also graphical. CryEngine3 also has better compatibility with native options within Nvidia and AMD graphic cards. Being the recent competitor, BF3 still has the edge when it comes to netcode, compatibility, and optimization tweaks. Aside from the technical standpoint, both have great storylines - albeit, the Crysis storyline has always gone that extra mile to include detail and background.
