Yes, babaies can catch salmonella from bearded dragon lizards.
You would get a better price by selling them privately ! At least then - you'll be able to quiz the new owners on their knowledge and suitability as reptile carers !
yes
Bearded dragons will eat nearly any insect prey, especially crickets, mealworms, grasshoppers, and cockroaches. These should be bred specifically to be food, not captured from the wild, as wild insects may be carrying pesticides or parasites. Bearded dragons can also eat "pinkies," or newborn mice, every month or more, but these should only be fed as a treat in addition to a regular diet of insects. Insects should be supplemented with an appropriate calcium supplement, or the lizard is sure to develop a dangerous and potentially deadly calcium deficiency. It is important to note that bearded dragons are omnivores, and should be provided with salads of leafy greens, vegetables, and fruit in addition to insect prey. Mine especially enjoys berries, including strawberries and raspberries. So the bearded dragon can digest its food, be sure to provide a basking spot at about 95 degrees. Otherwise, this coldblooded creature will be unable to remove the nutrients from its diet and will starve. I suggest getting a book on bearded dragon care for more information.
They're pink mice or rats. They are the newborn mice & rats before they get any fur. See related link for a picture from one of the companies I deal with.
Our beardie is 19yrs old and is still very healthy and friendly.
Yes, my cousin had some issues with that sort of scenario. You should be careful. Try to keep them in completely separate parts of the house, or there could be some serious problems.
Generally speaking, newborn and juvenile beardies run around $60, with adults costing $70 or $80, depending on where you shop. The reason for the difference in price is that pet shops and other businesses dealing in reptiles want you to buy younger dragons, because it's easier to bond with a juvenile than an adult.
