Repentence to God. Sin is forgiven through God's divine mercy. Once you repent in your heart and realize that what you have done is a sin you need to confess it in the sacrament of repentence (confessio) the priest will grant you absolution and tell you what you must do to regain the state of grace . You should once free from sin partake in the Eucharist as soon as possible to become one with Gods church

Yes. All Catholics are forgiven even people who aren't Catholic.

Roman Catholic AnswerGod offers His forgiveness to everyone. To the best of my knowledge, the only normal way that God offers His forgiveness to people is through the sacraments, Baptism and Confession. This is why it is so important to evanglize people, as, outside the Church there is no salvation.

Very easy!

Jehovah God is the one who decides regarding forgivenness. He does not just forgive Catholics, as if they're the sole benefactors of forgivenness.

Roman Catholic AnswerTo the best of my knowledge, the only normal way that God set it up for people to be forgiven from their sins is the sacraments: both the sacrament of Baptism initially forgives all sins up until that point, and after that the sacrament of confession. Outside of that, only a perfect act of contrition would suffice, and that is not something that you can do without God's grace, a LOT of God's grace. This is why the Church teaches that outside the Church there is no salvation, and why it is so important to evangelize people.

Roman Catholic Answer

from Modern Catholic Dictionary by John A. Hardon, S.J. Doubleday & Co., Inc. Garden City, NY 1980Forgiveness. Pardon or remission of an offense. The Catholic Church believes that sins forgiven are actually removed from the soul (John 20) and not merely covered over by the merits of Christ. Only God can forgive sins, since he alone can restore sanctifying grace to a person who has sinned gravely and thereby lost the state of grace. God forgives sins to the truly repentant either immediately through an act of perfect contrition or mediately through a sacrament. The sacraments primarily directed to the forgiveness of sins are baptism and penance, and secondarily, under certain conditions, also the sacrament of anointing.

Why do Catholics have to confess their sins to a priest?

Catholics must confess their sins to a priest as this is the only normal way in which Our Blessed Savior left for people to have their sins forgiven. Less serious sins (venial sins) may be forgiven with a good Act of Contrition and Holy Communion. Serious sins (mortal sins) may only be forgiven at Confession. Besides the Church requires that all adult Catholics must go to confession at least once a year, even if they have not committed any mortal sins. Any good Catholic who is sincerely trying to fall Christ and become perfect (Matthew 5:48) should be going to regular confession, weekly or at the least, every other week.

What is a sin for Catholics?

Catholics view sin as an act that God finds offensive. Catholics believe there are two types of sin, venial and mortal. Whereas a mortal sin takes a person out of God's graces, a venial sin does not. Catholics believe that all sins can be forgiven by God; no sin is too big for God to forgive.
