Yes! In fact, ALL hamster food is made for Hamsters AND Gerbils! It is perfectly fine to give gerbils the hamster food, and also to give hamsters gerbil food!
1. A gerbil has got a long tail and a hamster has a short stub. 2. A gerbil is a bit like a rat, but smaller, with a furry tail and a shorter snout. 3. Gerbils LOVE chewing and shredding up things, but hamsters don't as much. 4. Gerbils come from the desert. They don't pee very often because they don't drink much. 5. Gerbils are awake during the day. Hamsters are nocturnal. 6. Hamsters have more dark meat.A gerbil is much less a people critter. A gerbil also sleeps 4 hours, then is awake four hours. A hamster (notice the spelling, no p) is noternal. Plus, a gerbil chews everything, while a hamster doesn't. Therefore, a gerbil cannot be put into the plastic houses for ever, because they will find a way to eat it and escape.
Hamster and gerbils do not have different food the eat the same food and love the same treats.
There are lots of mixtures of grains, seeds, and corn made specially for hamsters/gerbils. Hamsters usually can only have food made for hamsters/gerbils, unless you want to give them veggies. (hehe.) Hope this helps-- Hamsterluver224
No, guinea pigs cannot eat hamster or gerbil food, because they're not hamsters or gerbils. Guinea pigs can eat guinea pig food that doesn't contain any seeds, nuts, grains, milk or coloured bits.
Gerbils can eat a lot of hamster mixes, but make sure you check the label before you feed it to your gerbil.
Hamsters can eat sunflower seeds and can eat alot of things that you eat. They eat french fries, cheetos, bread pieces, but if you think your hamsters aren't getting enough water, just feed them cucumbers. But,I do not know what gerbils eat.
they just have gerbil food
No, they do not, that is an adaptation specific to hamsters, not gerbils.
Gerbil muisli or if there is not any hamster food.
Differences between a hamster and rat:A hamster has a short tail, a rat has a long, slender tailHamsters live 1-3 years, while rats live 2-5 yearsRats require more food than hamstersRats are longer in length than hamstersA HAMSTER dose not have much of a tail and are very small, rats are fairly large and have tails and have a craving for cheese. but there is not much diffrents they are from the same chain.
No because hamsters tend to eat things they shouldn't. Expecially if you forgot to feed them. Hamsters also fight a lot. they can draw blood, and maybe even rip off a human finger. Gerbils won't draw blood. But if you forget to feed them, they will get mad. hope this helps
