I wouldn't think ovulation would be painful unless there was a problem. If you are having stomach pains that aren't getting better, you should probably see a doctor.

I disagree with Leslie. There is something called Mittelshmerz, German for "middle pain", and this can happen during ovulation. So theres necessarliy anything wrong with you. But if continues and becomes more frequent, you should consult your doctor.

Yes, you can. Ovulation pain has nothing to do with your chances of getting pregnant. Sometimes cramping around your ovary region can be a sign of ovulation. Your ovulation time is the best to try to get pregnant but the ovulation pain really does not have anything to do with it.

The peak in LH triggers ovulation. "During ovulation" is only an instant in time, so it's not really separated from "before ovulation." When LH peaks, ovulation occurs, so if I had to pick, I would say during ovulation. See this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leutinizing_hormone

It's not really painful but it makes life a lot harder than for a "normal person" and makes you really tired.

It's not supposed to. It should be painless.
