for some reason my budgie and my lovebird get along and seem to mate. i don't think budgies and love birds get along.

My parakeet kills other parakeets because theres only one in the cage with him could it be possible for him to stop killing parakeets if he is with more than one in the cage?
I have a parakeet that is hurting my others, so i am putting her in a smaller separate cage next to the one the other parakeets are in.

Most definantly! You could put a thousand in and it would ok! Parakeets are very social. Just make sure you have a big enough cage.......or an aviary!

Yes! Certainly you can. First I was afraid to put a pair of finches in a cage of 6 lovebirds who had their 5 babies in nest box.But when I put finches inside the cage, the two species never cared about each other.I had heard that lovebirds are very aggressive during their breeding time but they never came close to finches. Make sure that cage is big enough, mine is 3 by 3.Happy mingling!. Two species in one cage look very attractive.

I would recommend putting in another food dish and rearranging the perches, toys, and food dishes (if the food dishes have hooks to hang on the side of the cage) once every 1 - 2 weeks. Also be sure you are not providing anything that the finches might use as nest material.

i think they do...'cause i have 3 parakeets and one of them wake me up in night by moving scared in the cage screaming , even can't control his own body... i think this is called epilepsia but on the internet i don't found any articol with epilepsia at birds..

The parakeets may feel cramped or the parakeets in the same cage may be the same gender. If you have two of the same gender, there is a greater chance of fighting because they want to be dominant over the other bird.
