Yes, we will be able to live on Mars if we plant trees there. It will take quit a few years, and people may not be patient enough to wait.

-IMPROVED ANSWER- (BY SUNLIGHT210):

Technology is being improved and scientists are researching. There is no definite answer to your question, yet. We are not sure about Mars being a safe place for humans to live on. However, Mars does have almost the same qualities that Earth has, that is why it is a nominated place for humans to live on in the future.

To the first answerer: We are not sure if we can actually plant trees on Mars. It will take more then quite a few years (unless you mean 30 more, then yes, you're right). Most people are happy about the progress scientists have made, so most are not impatient.

Who knows? It all depends on the progress of technology, scientists, astronomers, research, and many more! It might be 2030, or 2040, that we might be able to start an expedition over in Mars, or maybe less or more years. Therefore, there is no definite answer to your question and maybe we won't be able to live on Mars, we just never know.

If I did not answer your question the way you wanted, please be more specific, and I'll be happy to answer it! (Along with others, too, of course.)

Hope that helps!

People can live anywhere, if properly prepared and motivated. That is the nature of the explorer and the scientist. Which is something most people have something of either or both as part of their design. We have the concept and the technology for the dome. I'm sure that guy living on the space station would tell you a dome on a baren planet would be a huge step up from isolation on a space station. Yet he still proves my point that people can live anywhere. They need only to listen to their explorer hearts and stop letting the frightened tell them all the things that are too impossible to attempt.

Is Mars best planet to live?

scientist have said there is a possibility to live on mars but its not yet proven Mars cannot support human life, the only planet that we are aware of that can is the earth, therefore earth is the best planet to live on. Mars is WAY to cold to live in, Earth is the best place because it is not to far, or to close to the sun. Mars also does not have the gases that are needed for us to live.
