We all have two lungs and we are designed to work that way. However sometimes we have to have a lung removed because of disease or an accident. There are many people who have lived a long time with only one lung.

no, because asthma is a disorder in the airways, not the lungs in the first place. when triggered by an irritant, what happens is your windpipe narrows down, and mucus clogs it, causing breathing difficulties, and then an asthma attack. asthma has nothing to do with the lungs - they will still be perfectly normal.
No you cannot live without your lungs. Some people are currently living on one lung but you must have at least one lung. The lung is responsible for collecting and distributing the oxygen you need in order to breathe.
Yes, your mom will still be able to live with one lung, i can say so because i only have one, also i was born with no tongs oles, one lung, one kidney and a very, VERY low immune system. This is called Hypogammaglobulineimia, you can even Google it or look it up in the dictionary of you want to.
ten years
An unhealthy lung, is a lung that is perfect. It has no problems, and if you have an unhealthy lung, then you will live for about 90 minutes. If you have a healthy lung then you will live until 50 years. Thanks for reading Daniel Murison
How long a person can live with lung disease depends on the type of lung disease. Their overall health has an effect on how long they live.
Many people survive with one lung, or even one side of the diaphram.
