I have this syndrome.. I am legally blind in my left eye because of it.. I have heard there is some research that around 1968-1970's there was a pill given to becoming mothers that had side affects like blindness and cats eyes and other problems.. i don't remember what the pill was called .. i knew when i was a kid what it ws but over the years I forgot.. I just want to know how rare this syndrome is... I live a almost normal life. but as a kid it was hard. kids can be cruel.. but I over came that and made myself a very successful business with help of my wife that supported me... otherwise I couldn't had the courage and determination without her. I didn't gradute from high school because my blindness slowed me down. But that wasn't my only mountain fear I had to climb. when I was 9 years old I had 90% of my chest burned with 4th and 3rd degree burns. Which left me in the hospital for a month. ............... Well it was more lack of self-estem then fear.. but over came it and wanted to share that with everyone ... I struggled my life and had to over come very high mountains and still over coming these things every day. But more relaxed about them.. facing what I can't change. You can do it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prosthetic eyes can be made for dogs. These are often used when a dog's eye is removed due to glaucoma or cancer.

'Glass' eyes are not glass now-a-days. They are made of a special type of plastic. I'm not sure of the approximate number of people but today prosthetic eyes look so 'normal' that you could pass someone on the street with only one eye and not even know it.
