Yes. You can do the necessary things with the keyboard quite easily. Once you know the various shortcut keys and function keys, it is easy to do. A lot of the shortcut keys, like Ctrl-C for copying, are the same for different applications, so you don't have to use and remember different ones for each application. So it is well worthwhile learning and using the different ways of doing things with the keyboard, even if your mouse is working perfectly. With a little practice you will be able to do things just as quickly with the keyboard or mouse.

The mouse is not a software but hardware that is used in computers. Software refers to applications that are used on computers but hardware is the parts that are connected to a computer.
Hardware
Mickey Mouse was created in 1928, before the invention of animation software or even computers.
There are many possible reasons for a non-working computer mouse. These include: 1. The mouse cable connection to the computer may be loose (for a mouse with wire) 2. Mouse cable may be cracked or broken 3. Mouse driver software may have been corrupted 4. Mouse hardware has gone bad 5. It is very unlikely but computer's PS2 or USB port where mouse is connected may also have gone bad 6. If it is a wireless mouse, it's battery may need to be charged or replaced. - Neeraj Sharma
