So they say, particularly those with lighter color hair.

This is definitely true. Our pigs have sunburns right now. Light colored, non-pigmented pigs like Yorks are susceptible to sunburns, just like humans.

I don't know what a pig walrus is but horses can certainly be sunburned!

Horses that have light colored hair and white skin can get sunburned for a number of reasons. If they are turned out in the sun when they had been indoors for a long time, if they were body clipped and then turned out in the sun with no protection (sheet or blanket) or if you apply oil to the skin of a horse and then turn them out in the sun.

All of these things and more can cause a horse to sunburn.

In their most sensitive areas like on the udder, yes. Usually cows that have no pigmentation on their udders (it's a pink colour instead of brown or black) are more susceptible to getting sunburned, especially when there's snow on the ground.

From what I understand they somehow use mud as sunscreen. Everyone feel free to edit this.

Yes. A pig or hog can sunburn because unlike us pigs can't sweat. So pigs roll in mud to keep cool.
