No, there is no antibiotic that will get rid of the polio germs but there is a vaccine that I would strongly recommend getting. However, the vaccine will not cure the Polio when you have it, it will prevent you getting Polio again.

Anti viral drugs exist. Vaccines which prevent polio are far better. Why anyone would risk death or being paralyzed for life when vaccines have been taken for years with virtually no side effects, is beyond me.

Approximately two years after the live vaccination became available, a few people caught polio from it. The problem was quickly solved and no problems have occurred since. All other accusations have been lies. The vaccine has been used in the United States and Europe starting in 1956 and has not caused sterility. Opposition to it makes no sense.

No. It is not a cure or a medicine to treat polio but a vaccine that gets the body ready by producing antibodies against the virus so that when you are exposed to it your body will be ready and it kill the ones that enter the body. Vaccines are like having full body armor that an enemy can not get through.

No, because polio is a virus and viruses cannot be treated with antibiotics, only bacteria can (well, most of them).

Can you cure poliomyelitis?

There is no cure for polio, but polio prevention is available through a vaccine. Polio vaccine in the United States is given as an inactivated polio vaccine. Approximately 90 percent or more of polio vaccine recipients develop protective antibodies to all three polio virus types after two doses, and at least 99 percent are immune following three doses. With the continued success of polio vaccination programs, a cure for polio may be possible within the next decade.

Currently there is no treatment that can cure polio. There are immunizations present and also some treatment methods to provide relief while the body fights against the polio virus. This is called supportive care. Supportive care can include fluids, medications, and lots of rest.
