Can you eat pork that's pink if the juices run clear

Realistically, most pork produced in the US is free of parasites. The warning to cook pork thoroughly isn't bad advice. Where swine are able to eat rat carcasses, there is the potential for the meat to be contaminated with trichinosis worms.

If the juices run clear it is probably safe but you should ensure that the temperature of the meat is at least 160 F (see link). The meat may still appear pink.

Many poultry farmers are changing what they feed to their livestock to a more "green" or "natural" feed. This can influence the colour of the bird, making the meat appear slightly pinkish. If you make sure that the internal temperature of the turkey is at least 165 F and any juice is clear, you should be okay.

Pork should not be eaten any at all. whether it is eaten pink or fully cooked, it should not be eaten! pork/pigs are infected by the trichina worm that damages the human body when pork is consumed.

The trichina worm lives inside the small intestine of a host animal, where it mates and reproduces. Once her eggs have been fertilized, the female burrows into the intestinal wall and releases her larvae. The larvae migrate into the lymph channels of the intestine, from which they enter the bloodstream and travel to all parts of the body. When the larvae reach the skeletal muscles they burrow into the muscles and form tough cyst-like cocoons. The host secretes lime salts, which are deposited in the capsule, eventually transforming the capsule into a completely calcified cyst. The worms may live in the cyst for years until they are consumed and digested by another mammal. for more information on this, visit:
