it depends what your feeding your parrot, they cant drink milk or eat any meat. they cant have food with fat and if ur parrot is overweight please take it to the doctor it might have a liver fatty disease which makes the life span of ur bird shorter
I have a Quaker parrots and she is about 9 weeks old and I have done some intense reading on parrots and what they eat. Parrots love their fruit but be careful not to feed them any seeds of fruit or vegetables...they love green vegetables as well. As for seeds I give my Quaker budgie seeds everyday and only feed her sunflower and pumpkin seeds as a treat once a week because it's high in fat so it shouldn't be given too much. Strictly no CHOCOLATE OR AVO. This is highly toxic to all parrots My Quaker doesn't like apple much but she loves seedless grapes but every parrot has their own likes so try out everything and they will choose Hope this helps Mishkaah
Quaker oats! But seriously... What I know for a fact is that SOME don't eat meat, but SOME do! Although Quaker Parrots of which I know nothing probably have a different diet to human Quakers.

Yes they can, but it's not very nutritional food.
Most Quaker Parrots like to play with things. 1. Treats being fun things for him to do/play with: Most parrots are playful little things so somethings they like to have are mirrors, chew up little wads of paper, and have things that make noise like chewing on a little kids hairclips, etc. 2. Most parrots are simple like humans and will love to eat things like pumpkin seeds, almond slivers, and most parrots actually love brown rice.
Yes, most Parrots do eat insects. This is not the largest part of their diet, but it is part of their over all food intake. Along with fruit, nuts, buds, flowers, nectar, and seeds.
