Yes, but you will need to replace the dryer and flush system from old r12 refrigerant. Your local NAPA is a good source for all products needed. Once converted, you can charge system with 134a and enjoy a "COOL" ride.
yes unless it has been changed over
R134a
Will a 1992 Dakota truck motor fit into a dodge truck 1999 Dakota?"

After 1992- r134A Before 1992- R22 but it need to be retrofitted for R134 if it hasn't been done already. It is ILLEGAL to use R22 in autos.
Being a 1992 model year it would be R-12 ( unless it has already been converted to use refrigerant R134a )
It came with R12 (Freon). Look for a sticker on the unit, as it may have been converted. If not convert it to R134a. My advice, is, take it to a professional.
R12 It is not produced anymore. Have to covert to R134.
no the body style is different the windshield for the truck is dw796gbn and the one for the van is dw760gbn
My 1991 Plymouth Acclaim manual says mine is R12, but I can't say for the '92 It was built with R12, should be retrofitted to R134a.
If it was behind the same kind of engine it probably will.
R12 was used up until 1992. R134 Is what is used now, and you can even check to see if yours was converted from R12 To R134A
