It depends on how you are to set it up. If the extender has to be connected directly to xbox, you cannot use it. Because there are no such drivers unless you are lucky. If your extender is independent device and can work on its own, everything should work just fine.

There is none. You can buy a range extender. Those can usually be turned into a bridge. You would then connect this to the ethernet jack on the Xbox. You tell the Xbox that it's connected via a wired connection. All the wireless setting is done on the wireless range extender that is setup as a bridge. You can stream videos to your Xbox360 by using Windows Media Centre Extender.
